DESCRIPTION

The government authority located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania is seeking a vendor to develop and provide ongoing management for a comprehensive backflow prevention and cross connection control program. The selected vendor will be responsible for creating an effective system based on a thorough understanding of cross-connection, backflow, and back siphonage concepts, along with the associated control measures to eliminate risks to the public water supply.

The program must include clear strategies for implementing backflow preventers—devices or means designed to prevent the backflow of water or other substances into the public water supply system. The service will involve dedicated personnel, such as a Backflow/Cross–Connection Technician (BCCT), responsible for the program’s execution. Management of bulk accounts, where potable water is transported to other water purveyors, must also be addressed. Interested vendors should submit all questions by March 31, 2026.
