The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Office of the Director, Division of Program Coordination, Planning, and Strategic Initiatives, Office of Portfolio Analysis (OPA), requires a six-month bridge contract for Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) cloud computing services. This procurement includes AWS Elastic Cloud Compute (EC2) and related offerings, as well as consulting and support services, provisioned within the Continental United States in compliance with FISMA Moderate Authorization and Accreditation standards. The contractor will assist OPA in transitioning AWS accounts with no service disruption, maintain the current Authority to Operate for mission critical systems, ensure OPA retains full administrative control of AWS resources, and carefully coordinate the transition process to avoid workflow interruptions.
The incumbent, GovPlace, LLC, is an authorized AWS reseller and Premier Consulting Partner, providing certified technical staff, 24x7x365 US-based support, and a secure AWS environment configured for NIH OPA's mission-critical workloads, including large-scale data analysis and web-hosted applications. This bridge contract is intended to maintain operational continuity while a competitive procurement process is prepared, due to technical risks and the urgent need to prevent service interruption for research and portfolio analysis operations.
