The State of Connecticut is seeking a qualified vendor to provide an Automated Vehicle Location (AVL) system for a mixed fleet comprising passenger vehicles, trucks, and construction equipment. The AVL solution must offer reliable and secure real-time tracking data, supported by integrated hardware and software components. The system should be capable of operating across the designated geographic coverage area, ensuring accurate vehicle monitoring for all fleet assets.
Software requirements include real-time access through web and mobile dashboards, historical trip logging with customizable date ranges, geofencing notifications, maintenance scheduling, driver performance analytics, and an open API for integration with existing ERP or dispatch systems. Additionally, the solution must integrate with ESRI ArcGIS platforms, supporting both ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise to enable real-time vehicle location visualization, spatial analysis, and geospatial reporting.
On the hardware side, vendors must supply GPS tracking devices using OBD-II plug-ins, hardwired installations, or OEM integration. Ruggedized hardware solutions for heavy-duty trucks are required, with optional features such as battery backup and weatherproof, vibration-resistant enclosures to ensure continual operation in various field conditions.
