The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to contract on a single source basis with NDT Solutions, LLC for the provision of an Automated Ultrasonic Scanning System (AUSS) Mobile System and associated operational training. This procurement aims to support ongoing research and testing efforts at the William J. Hughes Technical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The AUSS Mobile System is intended to replace the Mobile Automated System (MAUS) currently in use, offering modernized capabilities such as faster processing speeds, improved scanning and imaging quality, digitalization, and enhanced data-analysis features.
Boeing is the original developer and exclusive owner of the intellectual property for the AUSS Mobile System, and has licensed NDT Solutions, LLC as its sole provider of mobile Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) equipment in the United States.
