SUMMARY

Seeking vendor for an automated materials handling system for libraries in Minnesota, with remote monitoring, ergonomic design, and ILS compatibility.

DESCRIPTION

A Minnesota library is seeking a qualified vendor to provide an automated materials handling system. The required system must offer a robust, remotely accessible status monitoring portal capable of remote troubleshooting and restart procedures. The user interface should be intuitive and icon-based, supporting ease of use for library staff.

Key specifications include an ergonomic design to enhance staff comfort and safety, and full compatibility with major Integrated Library System (ILS) software such as SirsiDynix Symphony Workflows. The system should support switching between multiple preconfigured sortation tables to address different operational scenarios, including holidays, closures, and high-traffic events. Additionally, the solution must provide efficient, damage-free singulation of bulk item returns and include a dedicated staff induction point, but should not include a patron interface or receipt printer.

Vendors with experience in automated library solutions and system integration are encouraged to respond.
