The City of Manitoba, Canada is seeking a qualified vendor to provide a turnkey Automated Fare Collection System. The project encompasses the implementation of a comprehensive, account-based ticketing back-office system, including modules for fare policy management, customer account management, reporting and analytics, and system administration.
The scope of work also includes the deployment of rider-facing applications, such as a mobile ticketing app compatible with both iOS and Android platforms, as well as a web-based self-service portal featuring the city's branding. Vendors are expected to facilitate the setup and configuration of payment systems supporting Open Payment (EMV), contactless cards, and QR code-based mobile payments.
System integrations will be required with key platforms, including iBus (CAD/AVL), PeopleSoft (ERP), Spare (Winnipeg Transit Plus), and existing legacy Genfare Fareboxes. The contract term will be for one year, and interested vendors should ensure all questions are submitted by the specified deadline in January 2025.
