DESCRIPTION

The City of Stone Mountain, Georgia is seeking a qualified vendor to provide audit services for four consecutive fiscal years, beginning with the fiscal year ending December 31, 2025, through the fiscal year ending December 31, 2028. The agreement will be subject to annual review and renewal, contingent upon the appropriation of funds for audit services by the City.

The selected provider will be responsible for determining whether the financial statements fairly present, in all material respects, the financial positions of the governmental activities, business-type activities, aggregate discretely presented component units, major funds, and related financial information. The scope of work includes reviewing respective changes in financial positions, cash flows, and conducting budgetary comparisons as necessary.

Audits are to be planned and performed to obtain reasonable assurance that the financial statements and note disclosures are free from material misstatement due to error, fraud, or illegal acts that could materially affect the determination of the financial statement amounts.
