DESCRIPTION


The Government has issued a sources sought notice concerning the Atlantic Coast of Maryland Berm Reconstruction Project in Ocean City, Maryland. This upcoming project will involve dredging approximately 1.2 million cubic yards of sand from an offshore borrow location, Weaver Shoals, situated around 7 to 8 miles from the shore. The dredged material will be placed along about 8.3 miles of existing beach in Ocean City.

The primary objective of the project is to reduce the risk of coastal storm damage to local infrastructure. It is important to note that the scope of work excludes any construction or enhancement of the existing dune or seawall structures. As of now, no solicitation, specifications, or project drawings are available, and this announcement is solely for market research purposes prior to a future Invitation for Bid (IFB) solicitation.
