A government authority in Alabaster, Alabama is seeking a vendor to supply and install various types of athletic equipment. The required equipment includes ceiling-suspended basketball backstops and stanchion systems, 72" x 42" glass backboards, Ultra Flex II goals with nets, bolt-on backboard padding, 1HP winches with controls, safety straps, and electric height adjusters. Volleyball netting systems installed in the ground, complete with floor sleeves, 3.5" posts with 8" brass covers, competition nets with antennas, fair height net chains, and judges stands with padding are also specified by the project drawings and specifications.
Proposals must cover all hoisting, rigging, scaffolding, staging, temporary site safety protection, equipment, and tools required to carry out the full scope of work. Regular cleanup of trash and debris, including all blocking, backing, and supports, is expected. A warranty period covering all materials, equipment, and labor is required, starting from substantial completion. The scope also includes necessary engineering and surveying unless specified otherwise, project coordination and meetings, attendance at safety meetings, and provision of a safety manual and site-specific plan upon request. The contract term is for one year.
