DESCRIPTION

A government authority in New York is seeking a vendor to conduct an Asset Liability Management (ALM) study. The selected firm will assist the Board in managing investments, meeting funding obligations, and ensuring long-term solvency.

The ALM study will supplement actuarial valuations and support strategic investment and risk governance decisions. Key tasks include developing and assessing long-term strategic asset allocation, creating a reference portfolio framework to act as a policy anchor, and analyzing the reasonableness of long-term investment return assumptions under a variety of modelled outcomes. The engagement also involves evaluating funded status and solvency results across multiple economic, financial, and demographic scenarios.
