DESCRIPTION

The government authority located in Asheboro, North Carolina seeks a vendor to provide comprehensive asset inventory assessment services. Key tasks include the collection of GPS coordinates and detailed physical attributes for all utility assets, such as water lines, meters, valves (including air release and pressure reducing valves), fire hydrants, storage tanks, gravity sewer lines, force mains, pump stations, and wet wells through GIS mapping.

The scope also covers thorough condition assessments of the identified assets, which will involve evaluating their current condition, effective age, failure history (with support from district staff), remaining service life, and estimates for replacement and repair costs. Each asset will be assigned criticality values that reflect both the probability of failure and its consequences.

The selected vendor will also be responsible for developing a capital improvement plan, including detailed scopes of work and cost estimates. This plan will prioritize asset repair or replacement projects based on the assigned criticality values, supporting the authority's strategic long-term infrastructure management.
