DESCRIPTION

The government of Los Angeles, CA is seeking a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive arts, entertainment, and cultural education programming services. The scope of services encompasses community engagement in the visual arts, including community art installations, pop-up galleries, and live art creation that highlights the work of diverse and intergenerational artists.

Vendors are also expected to organize music concerts covering a variety of genres representative of the community’s cultural diversity. These events should involve youth performers such as school bands, local groups, or musicians of cultural significance. Additional programming includes educational workshops or panels focused on careers in music, film, production, and digital media, with outreach efforts directed particularly toward underserved youth.

There is a strong emphasis on Indigenous cultural programming, led by or developed in collaboration with local Native American and Maya communities or organizations. This may consist of traditional music, dance, storytelling, land-based knowledge, or language instruction. Event management and production services are also required, covering all aspects of live event execution, including DJ and MC services, operational logistics, security, audiovisual equipment, rentals, signage, permits, event timelines, management of speakers, ticketing, and hospitality. The vendor will be responsible for identifying, providing, and coordinating all equipment and staffing necessary based on each event’s specific needs.
