This RFP seeks a qualified vendor to provide a comprehensive deaccessioning study service for an art in public places collection. Responsibilities include offering curatorial and cultural consultation services, auditing and completing acquisition histories, documenting artist demographics, and identifying whether works were commissioned or purchased.
Additional tasks involve updating valuations and appraisals of artworks, assessing and documenting conservation needs, reviewing existing deaccessioning records, and providing policy review along with best-practice recommendations. The contract will span one year.
