KEY REQUIREMENTS

Must have at least five years of experience in art handling, packing, transporting, and installation for Category A and C
Must have at least two years of experience in art handling, packing, transporting, and installation for Category B

Must have a degree in Art History, Fine Arts, Museum Studies, or a related field for Category A and B preparator roles

DESCRIPTION

The selected vendor will provide comprehensive art handling services, including professional fine art handling, preparation, packing, transportation, and storage of artworks managed by the program. Services will cover the installation, de-installation, and transportation of large to monumental-sized works of art, artifacts, and architectural installations.

Responsibilities include operating lifts, scaffolding, and other necessary equipment for moving and installation, as well as assisting with the periodic maintenance of public artworks and exhibitions during their display period. The provider must ensure strict adherence to safety and security protocols throughout all operations.

Additional services may include blanket-wrapping, soft-packing, acting as a shipping agent, and arranging courier shipments. The vendor is also expected to accurately administer bills of lading, handle necessary documentation, and provide additional insurance as required.
