DESCRIPTION


A government authority in Santa Fe, New Mexico seeks vendors to provide professional archival appraisal services for its collections spanning performing arts, institutional and local history, and special collections held at two facilities. The selected provider will be responsible for establishing a comprehensive appraisal of archival materials, assessing their historical, cultural, and monetary value.

The scope of work includes delivering documentation to support long-term preservation planning, donor stewardship, and informed collection development decisions. Required deliverables comprise a Preliminary Assessment Report, a complete Inventory Database, a Final Appraisal Report outlining findings and recommendations, and digital photographic documentation of representative items. The project also includes an in-person or virtual final presentation of findings to stakeholders.

A non-mandatory pre-proposal meeting is scheduled for April 22, 2026. All questions regarding the RFP must be submitted by April 23, 2026.
