A California government authority is seeking a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive architectural design and construction administration services. The selected firm will conduct a thorough assessment of current site and building conditions, identifying both constraints and opportunities, and will collaborate with City staff to establish a detailed space program based on functional and operational requirements.
The scope of work includes the development of conceptual and schematic design alternatives, complete with floor plans, elevations, and illustrative renderings. Designs must comply with all applicable building codes, zoning regulations, accessibility standards, and other regulatory requirements. The architect will present design concepts to City staff, incorporate feedback, and refine solutions as necessary. Additionally, the vendor will be responsible for establishing the project schedule, communication protocols, and coordination procedures.
During construction, anticipated to last up to six months, the selected firm will provide construction administration services. This includes regular site visits to observe progress, ensuring conformance with the design intent, reviewing and responding to contractor submittals and RFIs, participating in construction meetings, and assisting in the timely resolution of construction-related issues.
