A government authority in Washington, DC is seeking architect and engineering services for the upgrade and renovation of Randolph Sheppard facilities located on federal and district properties. These facilities, currently numbering 36, are operated by licensed vendors who are prioritized according to Randolph Sheppard Act guidelines, supporting blind vendors operating cafeterias, snack bars, variety shops, newsstands, and convenience stores.
The selected architect or engineering firm will be responsible for interior design, preparation of construction documents, and construction administration for modifications to existing layouts of these facilities. Services will include planning and executing renovations for facilities that are identified within the next three to six months, or as agencies resume normal operations to accommodate employees and visitors. This project will require expertise in modernizing and optimizing public-facing retail and food service environments within government-operated spaces.
