DESCRIPTION


A government authority in Salt Lake City, Utah seeks a vendor to provide arbitrage compliance computation services for various long-term, tax-exempt bonds in accordance with IRS regulations. The selected vendor will be responsible for performing all necessary computations and producing an executive summary detailing the methodology, major assumptions, conclusions, and recommendations.

The scope of work includes providing a legal opinion or a CPA assurance letter confirming that the arbitrage calculations meet rebate requirements, or supplying an explanation if such documentation is unnecessary. The vendor will also assist in maintaining cumulative records and offering regular updates for three years post bond maturity, as stipulated. Additional duties involve requesting and analyzing all relevant investment data, assisting with document and data collection, determining which bond funds are subject to arbitrage rebate, and monitoring IRS filing deadlines.
