The government authority located in Concord, California is seeking a qualified contractor to provide aquatic herbicide treatment services. The selected vendor will be responsible for supplying all necessary labor, equipment, and watercraft required to perform aquatic herbicide treatments effectively.
Contractor responsibilities include handling chemicals and hazardous materials, such as toxic or corrosive substances and batteries with splash hazards, particularly during line-breaking activities at treatment plants. Additional requirements include proper excavation practices, such as installing adequate shoring or appropriately sloping excavations deeper than five feet or in poor soil conditions, as well as keeping spoils and heavy equipment at least two feet from the edge to prevent falling hazards.
The contract will be awarded for a period of one year.
