API Integration Service for Nigerian Identification Number (NIN) Verification

RFP Submission Deadline: April 1st, 2026.

Project initiation meeting: Within one week of contract signing.

70% payment milestone: Upon approval of API documentation, data dictionary, and functioning test environment.

30% payment milestone: Upon submission and acceptance of final report after successful integration and post-deployment support.

Technical support: For three months after go-live.

This RFP seeks a vendor to provide comprehensive API integration services for Nigerian Identification Number (NIN) verification. The selected vendor will be responsible for delivering detailed and structured API documentation that includes all technical specifications, endpoints, authentication mechanisms, data formats, and any additional integration parameters necessary for seamless incorporation into the organization's infrastructure.

The API must allow for submission of NIN and other relevant fields, such as name, date of birth, and phone number, and perform real-time or near real-time verification against authoritative or licensed data sources permitted by law. The solution should return a clear validity status for each NIN query (e.g., “valid”, “invalid”, “not found”, “inactive”), as well as any authorized key identity attributes for matching purposes, like full name, date of birth, and gender. Robust error handling must be included, with precise error codes for cases such as invalid data format, incomplete submissions, system downtime, or access issues.

All documentation should be user-friendly to ensure easy adoption by developers and technical staff, supporting the organization’s integration and enrollment verification needs.
