The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), part of the National Institutes of Health, intends to procure a one-year renewal and update of MIM Software, including necessary upgrades and support services. This software is essential for advanced image analysis within NIAID's Integrated Research Facility (IRF), specifically supporting pre-clinical in vivo imaging studies of infectious diseases in a unique BioSafety Level 4 containment laboratory. MIM Software is central to ongoing animal protocol projects examining tuberculosis response to treatments in monkeys and rabbits—research directly informing human treatment strategies.
The renewal of the MIM server and continuous software support ensures stability and ongoing functionality for IRF imaging scientists who analyze critical medical image data. As this is a brand name requirement, the procurement will be awarded on a sole-source, firm-fixed price basis, as only the vendor (now part of GE HealthCare) can supply the required upgrades and support that meet NIAID’s specialized needs.
