The government authority in Seattle, Washington seeks a vendor to provide an ambient monitoring solution designed to enhance clinical awareness and operational efficiency within the operating room setting. The desired solution should offer continuous, unobtrusive tracking of critical surgical events, enabling surgical teams and administrators to gain immediate insight into case progression and turnover status. Ambient sensing technology must identify key procedural milestones such as arrival, intubation, incision, closure, and departure, interfacing directly with the electronic health record (EHR) to support precise documentation.
The solution is expected to deliver robust analytics that transform captured data into actionable insights, driving evidence-based workflow improvements, predictive resource planning, and quality benchmarking. Workflow monitoring should be aligned with throughput goals to help hospitals increase surgical capacity, reduce overtime costs, and improve patient access to care without compromising safety. The solution should include capabilities for sensing both staff and patients in the room, feature a mobile interface or mobile app, and offer an end-user interface compatible with Citrix virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environments.
The contract period will be two years. All questions regarding the RFP must be submitted no later than May 11, 2026.
