A government authority in Glen Allen, Virginia requires a vendor to supply physical, pre-loaded Amazon gift cards in accordance with specified requirements. The cards must be non-digital, activated prior to delivery, and accompanied by proof of activation. Cards will be ordered in various denominations as indicated on each purchase order.
Each gift card needs an expiration date of at least five years from purchase or the last load, in compliance with Federal Trade Commission guidelines. Cards must have no monthly fees, be insured, and include a unique identification number. Additional requirements include online usability, online registration for balance tracking, and the ability to freeze the card if lost. Compatibility with mobile payment or digital wallets such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Android Pay, and Samsung Pay is mandatory.
The contract will be for three years, and questions regarding the RFP must be submitted by March 23, 2026. Award priority is given to small businesses under a set-aside program.
