San Francisco International Airport
Organization overview and procurement intelligence available on paid plans.
The agency is seeking a vendor to provide a comprehensive Airport Identity Management System (AIDMS) to replace its current HID SAFE v4.8 system, along with ongoing maintenance and support services. The new system must be a fully functional commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solution designed to enhance security and operational efficiency in issuing credentials to authorized airport personnel.
Key features include a secure web portal enabling credential applicants and Authorized Signatories (AS) to submit and manage data electronically. The system is expected to streamline user provisioning, credential lifecycle management, auditing, and recordkeeping, while also improving the customer experience for all individuals interacting with the airport’s security process.
Additional requirements include the ability to track and validate completion of mandatory training prior to credential issuance, maintain detailed audit-ready records for compliance and regulatory reviews, and provide a web-based application for submitting and managing badging requests. The resulting contract will be for a five-year period.
