A government authority in Leadville, Colorado seeks qualified firms to provide comprehensive airport engineering and planning services under a five-year contract. The scope of work includes airport planning, environmental planning, and a range of engineering services to support ongoing and future improvements at the airport.
Primary tasks include the construction of new hangars, associated site improvements, and expansion of aircraft parking aprons, as well as runway, taxiway, and apron pavement maintenance and marking. Additional responsibilities encompass planning services such as capital improvement project (CIP) planning, construction and extension of taxiways and taxi lanes, and maintenance of existing airport facilities, including buildings, fencing, and utilities. The selected vendor will also be responsible for the development of crucial airport infrastructure, including water, sewer, utilities, access roads, and security fencing, as well as modifications and expansions to the aviation fuel system. Environmental services as part of airport operations and project development are also required.
