The State of Ohio is seeking qualified vendors to design, implement, and integrate an AI-powered chatbot solution for its taxpayer website. The new solution aims to modernize digital services, enhance the taxpayer experience, and support the organization's objectives for secure, efficient, and user-centric engagement.
The chosen vendor will be responsible for developing the complete system architecture, knowledge management design, and security framework, as well as creating an intuitive UX/UI for the agency website. The AI chatbot must function as a Natural Language powered intelligent agent, capable of supporting taxpayers across multiple channels including live chat, calls, text, email, and mobile applications. Integration with internal systems via APIs is required, alongside thorough documentation of functional, security, and performance requirements.
Additional deliverables include IT and end-user manuals, comprehensive training sessions, and a WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliant interface to ensure ADA accessibility and mobile responsiveness. To support ongoing program improvement and oversight, the solution must also provide reporting dashboards. Questions regarding this opportunity must be submitted by February 24, 2026.
