Organization overview and procurement intelligence available on paid plans.
This project seeks a consultant to deliver AI-driven bike mapping and wayfinding services for a regional network in California. The consultant will adopt a universal, future-proof wayfinding plan, designed to evolve alongside the regional bike network and leverage insights generated from artificial intelligence. Working with exported GIS data, the consultant will produce cartographic outputs, including a consolidated, visually designed bike map for print and a standardized Connected Routes GIS dataset. AI systems will be trained with agency data to rank bicycle routes based on human input regarding comfort levels, enabling consistent, data-backed network improvements.
The scope includes preparing a Methodology Design document describing the software, data processing steps, and workflows utilized, with sufficient detail for future project updates. The consultant will also provide project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and targeted community outreach, especially to underserved populations such as Mixteco and Mandarin-speaking residents. Outreach work may involve up to two in-person events, with meeting coordination and support. Feedback from outreach will be documented and integrated into online tools to inform the project's ongoing development.
