DESCRIPTION

The government authority in Madison, Wisconsin is seeking a vendor to provide services aimed at addressing and removing zoning, permitting, and building code barriers to affordable housing. Key objectives include streamlining and modernizing local permitting processes, revising outdated codes that restrict housing types or densities, and enhancing review, inspection, and administrative procedures. Additional focus areas involve updating land use policies, community plans, and development guidance to better achieve local housing goals and improve access to housing near employment centers, services, and transit networks.
