The state of Massachusetts is seeking a vendor to design, develop, and maintain an affordable housing search engine and inventory data system. This system will serve as a publicly accessible database, allowing housing owners to list available units and providing the public with searchable, up-to-date information on affordable housing opportunities.
The solution must feature sustainable workflows to ensure ongoing updates and data accuracy, ingesting information from multiple sources such as submissions from owners, property managers, or pre-existing vendor data. The technical framework should support both batch and real-time or near real-time updates, utilize industry-standard API methods, and be accompanied by thorough documentation. Vendors are expected to present a detailed technical architecture for data exchange, outlining the use of APIs, data standards, and security protocols to facilitate secure and efficient updates.
Additional requirements include a comprehensive plan for analytics, uptime monitoring, content updates, and overall platform management. The database should incorporate key data elements such as data source, last updated date, data quality metrics, and property photos. This initiative is aimed at creating a reliable and transparent resource for all stakeholders in the affordable housing sector.
Questions regarding this opportunity must be submitted by December 15, 2025.
