The government authority located in Burnet, Texas is seeking a vendor to provide a comprehensive aerial fiber installation service. The project includes turnkey engineering, permitting, construction, splicing, testing, and documentation for approximately two miles of 288-strand single-mode fiber optic cable to be installed aerially on existing utility poles.
The scope of work covers route survey and engineering, make-ready coordination, permitting and right-of-way approvals, and the provision of all materials, equipment, and labor. Key tasks include installation of the aerial fiber optic cable using roughly seventy-eight utility poles, installation of required aerial hardware, fusion splicing and termination, testing and certification of all fibers, and preparation of as-built documentation and a closeout package. Vendors are required to submit all questions by March 20, 2026, and an optional pre-bid meeting will be held on March 18, 2026.
