A public health agency in Idaho is seeking a vendor to provide an aerial application system designed for mosquito abatement operations. The required system must deliver aerial larvicide and ultra–low volume applications, supporting all phases of planning, coordination, execution, and post–application analysis for mosquito control.
Key features should include software that graphically displays essential flight and application data, such as flight path, application switch status, airspeed, date, time, positional GPS coordinates, meteorological variables, and drift–prediction data for each mission. The system must also be capable of producing a digital GIS map to replay the aerial mission as executed.
Additional requirements involve real–time weather monitoring at release height, including temperature, wind speed, wind direction, and humidity, accessible from within the aircraft. The ability to monitor application–system pressure through a visible gauge or digital cockpit display is also necessary. The contract is expected to be for a one-year period.
