The government authority in Malone, New York is seeking a vendor to provide aerial and underground construction services for fiber optic cable infrastructure. The scope includes installation using vibratory ploughing, directional boring, and other approved methods, along with associated infrastructure such as handholes, flower pots, conduit, innerduct, pull string, caution utility tape, marker posts, and other related hardware.
The selected vendor will be responsible for pulling, placing, and securing fiber cable in both aerial and underground environments, as well as performing fusion splicing, monetarization, and preparation of fiber for termination at designated points. The work also includes OTDR testing, power meter testing, submission of detailed test results, and delivery of as-built documentation in PDF format.
Additional responsibilities include restoration of disturbed surfaces such as pavement and landscaping, compliance with all applicable codes and safety regulations, and coordination with utility companies, municipalities, and other stakeholders to obtain necessary permitting and clearances.
