SUMMARY

North Carolina seeks a vendor for an advanced metering infrastructure system including AMI, MDMS, installation, integration, and support services.

DESCRIPTION

The government authority in North Carolina is seeking a qualified vendor to deliver a comprehensive Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system. The scope of services includes supplying and implementing the AMI technology, as well as a Meter Data Management System (MDMS) capable of collecting, storing, querying, exporting, and summarizing meter readings and consumption data. The selected vendor will also provide related products, software, and services to support a fully integrated system.

Key responsibilities include the design, installation, and testing of information interfaces between the AMI system software and the Town’s customer information system (CIS) and other relevant platforms, such as field work order systems. The project also requires the coordination and documentation of all installation services, as well as providing leak and high-flow detection, tampering alerts, and ongoing operation and maintenance of the data collection network.

Additional requirements include implementing a customer web portal for viewing interval consumption and meter-related information, handling the salvage of old meters and meter box lids, and supplying all necessary radio licenses, firmware, and third-party software to ensure the system is fully functional. The opportunity is suited for vendors with experience in metering technologies, data integration, and utility systems support.
