The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 5), is issuing a Notice of Intent to make a sole source award for the Acustaf 3001 Labor Management Software to the Martinsburg VA Medical Center in West Virginia. This award is to be made under the authority of VAAR 819.7009 due to the highly specialized and proprietary nature of the software, with Acustaf Development Corporation identified as the intended supplier. The place of performance is Martinsburg VAMC, 510 Butler Avenue, Martinsburg, WV.
The Acustaf 3001 system supports labor management by integrating with the Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA) through an HL7 interface. It provides real-time Admit, Discharge, and Transfer information and interfaces with Human Resources modules for comprehensive data validation. This solution enables automated data extraction necessary for staffing, monitoring standards of care, and seamless integration with existing VA databases. The contract period of performance will be twelve months with four option years, structured as a firm-fixed price contract. Any interested and responsible certified vendors may express interest by providing a capabilities statement by the deadline specified.
