DESCRIPTION
The State of South Dakota is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive administration services for its account-based benefit plans, including Health Savings Accounts, Health Reimbursement Arrangements, and Health and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts. Services will include dedicated account management, a toll-free member support number, participation in client meetings, implementation performance guarantees, and a comprehensive communications toolkit.
The selected vendor will provide secure online access for employees to view account balances and activity and to use secure email messaging. The vendor will also support annual open enrollment by preparing benefit presentations in collaboration with the State and attending enrollment meetings as requested. Additional responsibilities include issuing debit cards, providing claims forms, receiving and processing claims and benefit payments, requesting additional participant information when needed, determining payable benefits according to plan terms, complying with applicable federal and state laws, and coordinating benefits with other plans when applicable.
