A Canadian Alberta-based organization is seeking a vendor to provide and implement a cloud-based academic scheduling platform to replace its existing on-premise system. The new platform should support enterprise-wide, global scheduling functions, facilitating structured program input, centralized coordination, and consistent application of institutional scheduling rules across a diverse academic portfolio.

Key requirements include support for various academic careers such as degree, diploma, certificate, apprenticeship, and non-credit programs, along with functionalities for handling multiple campuses, academic terms, and diverse delivery modes. The platform should enable constraint-based scheduling for instructional time, spaces, instructors, and modalities, and support specialized environments like laboratories and applied learning areas. It must also allow structured program-level input submissions, centralized validation and oversight, transparent conflict management, and a staged approach to developing and releasing schedules.

Technical considerations include cloud deployment with compliant data residency, multiple operating environments (production, testing, validation), integration with organizational systems (especially Student Information Systems), and robust security features like role-based permissions and auditability. Implementation must cover solution setup, data migration and validation, support for testing and training, go-live assistance, post-implementation stabilization, and ongoing system support, all scheduled to align with the academic calendar to minimize disruptions. The contract is set for a three-year term.
